Happy Memorial Day

Memorial day is a day that we stop to remember the people who have made sacrifices for our great country.  A day that should be spend with loved ones and appreciating the ones who have given their all for us to be free.  I am so thankful for the men and women who day in and out live their lives protecting our freedom here in the states and also overseas, and also the ones who spent any part of their life doing just that in the past.  Many men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can be free to think, speak and feel but also to live our life's without restrictions.  They have given up their lives in a sense for ours and for that I will always respect them!

To my brother who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom when we first began this war and also one other tour.  For him leaving his wife and their 9 day old baby girl to defend our freedom I am utterly thankful.  For all the birthdays and holidays he missed with his family and friends however I will never forget what hes has done for us.

Many men and women cant even fathom being away from their newborn many men and women face this reality every day, let alone missing the newest party, going to the movies, driving their own car, living in their own house and sleeping at night.  These are things men and women give up daily to fight for our rights to do those things... yet they usually miss out on them.  It's time for America to stand beside our troops and support them regardless of where their job sends them! They don't get to pick where they are going, they are told.  We are free because of their sacrifices, be sure to show them appreciation everyday... not just on memorial day!
