Remembering

Ten years ago our country was attacked. When the planes hit the World Trade centers I was sitting in the library of my high school for media research class. We were glued to the new that morning. I was in shock of what had just occurred. We had read about previous attacks our country had taken part in or had been the victim of but nothing in the history books could have prepared for what we would face that day. My brother had just left two weeks prior for basic training, my junior year of high school had just began and now uncertainty was all that I felt. No idea what would happen next or why someone would choose to attack our country in an inconceivable way... But they did. In the coming days, weeks and years we would grieve for this horrible attack and all the loved ones lost.

In the past ten years my life has changed greatly. I am now a nurse, married and thinking about our future together. Life has moved on, as it must or we will cease to live on. Things have changed greatly in many ways, but one thing I will never forget is what happened on September 11th, 2001.

Much love.

2 years!!

We made it! So does this mean the terrible two's phase is over in our relationship? I sure do hope so!! Not that all of it has been so terrible just ready for a more stable, not so stressful, relaxing and enjoyable next 80+ years! Haha yeah I know dream on, but well I'm a dreamer!

Monday was our anniversary, I spent most of it sleeping since I worked the night before and again that night. We did manage a short day trip over to Dayton to eat at my favorite Italian place, Bravo! It was wonderful as always, we even dressed up to make it a little more special... I guess he was getting tired of seeing me in scrubs and shorts and ts everyday! Haha!

We followed it up with some shopping at target since we don't have one locally and then a nice evening cuddling on the couch until it was time for me to head to work!

Happy Anniversary Mr. Galli!

Hope everyone is having a great week. Much love!

P.s. Sorry for the blurry phone pic.

Blimp

It's not everyday you come home to this above your house!

Yes that would be the Good Year blimp... The thing you would see at a football game or other sporting event where they might like a sky view of the stadium

Was rather a random surprise today! Hope you're enjoying your Saturday! Much love!

Changes

I can't believe that in just four days Alex and I will be celebrating our two year anniversary. It seems just like yesterday we were saying "I do" to each other. So much has changed in our life's over the past two years. I think overall mostly were good changes and well the bad things are in the past and we have grown from those experiences.

It's surprising to me that the things we never wished to happen and then did has not only made us stronger but has shown us things about ourselves that we would change or improve on. We never planned on moving in with my parents or the "in-laws" to Alex, but we did and it has by far been one of the best decisions we have ever made. I worried at first that Alex would have a hard time adjusting but just the other day he said "I love living with your parents.". My heart was overwhelmed with joy because he is and always will be my top priority. He even added "I don't ever want to leave" which of course we will because that was the whole point of moving in was to save money for our future home wherever that may be.

On another note he has 7 weeks until he has his masters degree!!! I am so very proud of him for finally following his own dreams!!!

Happy Thursday! Much love!

Time management

Working two jobs makes the need for good time management a high priority in my life. Loving what I do makes going to work not such a downer but missing my husband isn't something I anticipate ever getting used to. With him working an 9-5 job it allows us more time together in the evenings before I go to work which is wonderful.

When contemplating going back to school for my BSN the decision became really easy that it needed to be something I could do that wouldn't interfere with my family time, because through everything my family is my number one priority. So thus the decision has been made it would be an online BSN program to allow me that time I need with my one and only.

Not sure how well ill be able to manage my time when I am working two jobs and going to school.

How do you manage your time when all your time you're busy??

Much love!

Time well spent...

Some choices we make drastically change our lives. Some of those choices we are proud of and others not so much. One of the best decisions I ever made was to go to nursing school. It wasn't a choice that I made solely on my own, Alex and I talked for several months about it before we got married and then several times once I was in the nursing program, but without a doubt it was a wise choice. It has changed not only my life but also Alex's. Things we once thought would never happen have been happening, we are closer as a family than we have ever been and are continuing to grow as individuals on a daily basis.

Now being a nurse is not easy. Death is not something I deal well with and working in geriatrics it occurs more frequently than I like. There's been moments when I leave work with tears streaming down my face because it's been a rough night or two. With all of that at the end of the day I still love my job and what I do. I feel I have a confidence which I didn't have before when working and I know that the decisions I make can impact someone else. Not to mention the freedom with my finances which I felt would never occur and living with supportive parents has greatly helped with that.

Life is good! Hope you all are well! Much love!

I won't ever get used to it...

Death... It sucks and is my least favorite part of my job by far.

.....Maybe I chose the wrong profession???

Its just been one of those days!
